Wow. This is one of the most compelling pieces of writing that I have read in a long time. I specifically second the part on Iran. I have read a book that I encourage anyone to read that backs up the last paragraph - The Iran Threat by Alireza Jafarzadeh. I did my time from 04 to 05 in the sandbox and you are right on. I am thankful of how well you speak of the Iraqi people. So many of us come back without any perspective of who we were living with and ultimately trying to help, its just nice to hear. Yes war is hell but that doesn't mean we are at war with every person in that country or that just because there is a few that hate means that all Iraqis hate. Keep up the good work, Spc.
